Another Question for the Davidson Disciples

2Tim 2:5
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth

OK all you Davidson disciples, I’ve got another question for you. Are you ready?

Where is the scriptural justification for Doyle Davidson to engage in carnal relations with another mans wife? Obviously adultery is condemned in both the old and new testaments. Paul wrote that a Bishop (overseer) must be the husband of one wife not two. So how do you justify this relationship?

I am aware that Davidson has convinced many of you that the answer is found in Jeremiah.

Jer 6:12
And their houses shall be turned unto others, with their fields and wives together: for I will stretch out my hand upon the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD

Jer 8:10
Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them:……………………

In Doyle Davidson’s warped reading of scripture he sees J.R. Staton as the embodiment of rebellious Israel. According to Doyle, J.R. was so wicked and rebellious that God decided to turn his wife Lisa over to another man. And the “other” to whom God is giving the wife of the rebellious J.R. is of course Davidson himself.

Could this possibly be the proper understanding of these passages of scripture? Have you ever read chapters six through eight and seen them in the true context of what God is speaking? If you haven’t then perhaps you should and when you finish, answer this question.

Who are the “others” to whom God is giving the wives of rebellious Israel?

It is clear that these scriptures warn of an impending judgment against Gods people. But who is it that God intends to use in this judgment? The answer is found in chapter 6 verse 22

Jer 6:22-23
Thus saith the LORD, Behold, a people cometh from the north country, and a great nation shall be raised from the sides of the earth. They shall lay hold on bow and spear; they are cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roareth like the sea; and they ride upon horses, set in array as men for war against thee, O daughter of Zion.

Jeremiah is prophesying about the soon to come invasion of Jerusalem by the Babylonian army of King Nebuchadnezzar. It is to these pagan invaders that God intends to turn over the lands and wives of his rebellious people.

There is simply no way to make this say that God will take the wife of one of his covenant people and give her to another of his covenant people while her first husband is still alive. There is no scriptural precedent for that ever!

Again we see confirmation of this in Jeremiah 8

Jer 8:17
For, behold, I will send serpents, cockatrices (vipers), among you, which will not be charmed, and they shall bite you, saith the LORD.

Here the Lord identifies those to whom the lands and wives of Israel are to be given. They are called serpents and vipers who cannot be charmed. In chapter six He said they would be a people who were cruel and without mercy.

Does that sound like God is taking away the wives of his rebellious people and giving them to his more faithful people? Yet that is exactly what Doyle Davidson would have you believe.

So, if you accept Davidson’s interpretation of scripture you would have to agree that he has put himself in the category of those who are cruel and without mercy. He has proclaimed himself to be a serpent and a viper who cannot be charmed. In that sense, Doyle has spoken accurately because that is exactly what he is, a snake who will not repent.

Mat 12:37
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned

Now lets see to whom Jeremiahs warnings were given. Let’s take a look at the part that Doyle always leaves out when he attempts to use these scriptures to justify his own lusts.

Jer 8:10

Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.

This judgment was not just against some of Gods people it was against all of them. The Lord particularly singles out the prophets and the priests for dealing falsely with the people. They are the ones most at fault for the people going astray. Could it be possible that the same thing is happening today?

Jer 8:12
Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the LORD
.

There is surely a judgment coming and it will fall upon people like Doyle Davidson who have dealt falsely with God’s people. He is not ashamed of his abomination neither does he blush. He proudly proclaims his adultery and blasphemes the name of the Lord by claiming that God approves of it. There is coming a time of visitation for men like Doyle and when it comes he will surely be cast down.

If you are still listening to Doyle Davidson I plead with you by the Spirit of the Lord to stop. For once put the clear word of the Lord ahead of the twisted word of Doyle. Get out of that place before Gods judgment falls. Repent and seek the Lords forgiveness. You can hear from God yourself, you can obey God for yourself, and you are fully capable of reading and understanding His word for yourself.
